Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Nekotree, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nekotree. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Upload, post, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
  • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or patents
  • Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Upload content containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Nekotree's systems or other users' accounts
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service

5. User-Generated Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Nekotree, including images, text, and links.

5.2 License to Nekotree

By uploading content to Nekotree, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Nekotree service. This license terminates when you delete your content or account, except for cached copies that may persist for a reasonable period.

5.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and display all content you post. This includes obtaining necessary permissions for cosplay photos (e.g., photographer consent) and ensuring you own or have licensed any copyrighted material.

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, edit, or remove any content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Nekotree service, including its design, logos, and software, is owned by Nekotree and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the service without our express written permission.

8. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nekotree shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nekotree, its operators, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by following the steps in our Data Deletion Guide.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of Nekotree after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Nekotree shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
